There’s more to life
when we pay attention.
To our breath. To our bodies.
Gatlin is
a breathwork teacher, athlete coach, sourdough baker, and lifelong student of what it means to be human. I love exploring the science behind the things we experience every day and sharing what I discover along the way.
Whether I'm teaching an athlete to use their breath under pressure, guiding someone through a breathwork experience, or kneading sourdough, I keep coming back to the same idea:
The more aware we become, the more intentionally we can share our lives together.

Getting to know GatlinBlake, the Tinman, and My Journey Inward
My son Blake was electric. He zinged and zanged through life, talking fast, laughing hard, and making everyone around him feel seen. He was playful, daring, hilarious, and above all, kind. He was the brightest light so many of us had ever known.
We lost Blake on December 26, 2020, when he was just 21 years old. Behind his smile was a struggle none of us understood. Blake and I were just beginning to get to know each other as adults, and losing that opportunity remains one of the hardest parts of my grief.
I spent years searching for answers. Why? How? What could I have done differently? I tried numbing the pain, but eventually realized the only place left to look was inward. That journey led me to yoga, meditation, breathwork, and the practice of being present. I'm still learning, still healing, and sometimes preaching more than I practice.
What began as a single scholarship in Blake's memory grew into Blake's Tinman Foundation, a community dedicated to helping others discover their own paths toward healing. Because one thing I've learned is that what works for me may not work for someone else.
I don't teach these practices because I've mastered them. I teach them because I know what it's like to need them.
And through it all, I hope to carry forward a little of Blake's greatest gift: making people feel seen.
