Return to the Headwaters of Your Life

Your journey here is guided by ancestral wisdom and expressed through modern science.

Headwater Sage exists to help you remember that health isn’t something to chase — it’s something to return to.

Through breathwork, Ayurvedic principles, and conscious living, we reconnect you to the rhythms of nature within you — balancing energy, calming the mind, and strengthening the body.

This happens through breathwork sessions, educational programs, retreats, and supportive community experiences.

This is holistic health.

Our Spaces

Tinman Hall

Tinman Hall is the gathering space at the heart of Headwater Sage — a place where conversation, learning, and personal growth come together.

Designed to host a wide range of experiences, the space includes a welcoming community room for classes, group breathwork, and events, as well as smaller rooms designed for deeper work and meaningful connection.

Within Tinman Hall you’ll find:

The Community Room — an open gathering space where workshops, classes, and group breathwork sessions bring people together.

The Ridge Room — a quiet conference room for meetings, planning sessions, and collaborative work.

Headwaters Studio — our podcast and media studio, also used for immersive dual breathwork sessions and recorded conversations exploring wellness and conscious living.

The Still Room — an intimate space for one-on-one consultations, coaching, and private breathwork sessions.

Tinman Hall is where ideas are shared, stories are told, and individuals come together in pursuit of healthier, more intentional lives.

Hay Creek Retreat

A hidden nature preserve and wildlife sanctuary featuring four private cabins, winding woodland trails, a flowing trout stream, and quiet meditation nooks tucked throughout the property.

Guests can enjoy private campfire patios, a wood-fired pizza oven, and in-room jacuzzi hot tubs — creating a peaceful space to slow down and reconnect with nature.

This is where we host our retreats, just outside Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

I was blessed to receive my first Tinman Coin, and I recently completed both breathwork sessions with Gatlin and Ayurveda health coaching sessions with Khrystyna.  WOW!  What a gift!  Learning about breathwork and the power that breath truly has for us as humans, and beginning to gain knowledge around Ayurvedic health practices and techniques, I now have  some incredible new tools I am learning to use to improve my overall health and experience in life.  The sessions I attended over the past few months are literally changing me from the inside out and I am feeling the most centered, balanced, and grounded I possibly may have ever felt in my life.  The sessions are personalized to me and my needs, and they happen in a space where I feel safe to be authentic and open.  I have felt completely seen and accepted by both Gatlin and Khrystyna and I can tell that they both care about me and my journey.  You couldn't ask for two humans with as much love and light as these two.  As a therapist and provider myself, staying emotionally healthy and regulated is crucial and I believe I have been given a gift that is going to change my trajectory in a beautiful and positive way.

A year ago, I walked into my first breathwork session not knowing what to expect. I left feeling more energized and refreshed than I had in a long time — and that moment marked the beginning of a life-changing journey. Working with Khrystyna at Headwater Sage over the past year has been truly transformative. Through breathwork and holistic health coaching, I’ve released past trauma I never thought I’d move through, and I’ve learned practical tools that help me manage daily stress and anxiety with confidence. Headwater Sage's approach is compassionate, supportive, and deeply personalized. Nothing ever feels overwhelming — just achievable steps that create real, lasting change. Healing, I’ve learned, is ongoing. By integrating mindful breathing, meditation, and consistent self-care into my life, I’ve made progress I’m genuinely proud of. I wholeheartedly recommend breathwork and holistic health coaching with Headwater Sage to anyone ready to prioritize themselves, embrace a more mindful lifestyle, and take the next step toward long-term well-being. It has truly been one of the most meaningful decisions I’ve made. Thank you, Khrystyna, for all the incredible work you’ve done with me, and for guiding me with such care, patience, and wisdom. I’m deeply grateful.

My breathwork session at Headwater Sage Khrystyna with Khrystyna was one of the most impactful and healing experiences I’ve had since the unexpected passing of my dad. From the moment the session began, Khrystyna guided me with such compassion and clarity. She helped me visualize my chakras, tune into my nervous system, and gently led me toward a sense of inner peace that I have been longing for on my healing journey.

The session created space for deep emotional release and genuine connection with myself—something I hadn’t realized how much I needed. It was an experience I will never forget. I’m truly grateful for the support, grounding, and insight Khrystyna provided, and I look forward to continuing breathwork as a meaningful part of my mental health journey.

I have been on a health and wellness journey for many years and I have done many different modalities of healing and breath work, hands-down has been the most transformative and healing practice that I have discovered. I have done somatic holotropic breathwork and I have done practices that can be incorporated in daily life, like boxed breathing and just peaceful breath work. Somatic breath work has been truly transformative and brought about probably the biggest healing moments in my journey. The simple breathwork techniques that I have learned through working with Headwater Sage I have been able to incorporate in my daily practices have been truly beautiful. Somatic breathwork is something that’s really hard to put into words. I have had profoundly different experiences the multiple times I have done it. The first time I ever did somatic breathwork I was able to release so much grief and anger. The second time I did it I was able to tap into my energy and feel myself. It’s hands-down the one healing modality that I recommend to everyone that I talk to because it is so powerful and gives you exactly what you need in the moment. So like I said I have had vastly different experiences with my breathwork sessions and it has been truly healing. I absolutely recommend that everybody does breath work at least once in their healing journey.

My goal when starting with Headwater Sage was alignment. I felt so out of body, disconnected and scared in my own skin. From my very first breathwork session I felt something shift. There was a weight that was lifted off of my shoulders and I felt grounded. I had let go of all the stored trauma I had built up inside of me since I’ve been a little girl. With Khrystyna’s guidance in my Breathwork sessions, I can proudly say I have healed from an 8 year long eating disorder, body dysmorphia and I can look in the mirror and truly love who is looking back at me inside and out. By doing breathwork and Ayurvedic Holistic Health coaching. I learned alignment and how to take care of my mind, body and spirit. I have learned proper nutrition to heal my body, healthy movement to love my body and meditation to heal my inner self. I learned self love helps you become a better, brighter version of yourself . Which radiates onto other people and aspects in your life. It wasn’t all straight and narrow it was work trying to figure out who you are without your bad habits that you’ve had for so long, but when you put the work into yourself something beautiful comes out in the end and that’s pure Bliss.

I have had the pleasure of working with Khrystyna as my health coach for over 2 years now. When I started my holistic health journey I was frustrated and in immense pain, with one physician telling me my only option was a medication I did not want to take, and another preparing me for bilateral SI joint fusions. Khrystyna’s holistic approach opened my eyes to an entirely new world of healing. She listened, gave suggestions, and set me up to lead my healing journey. She helped me find my inner strength to do what I thought was impossible in the most supportive and uplifting way. As my journey has continued, I have broken out of my comfort zone with yoga and breathwork over the summer, and completed my first full breathwork session a few weeks ago. I am excited to continue my holistic journey and embark on future breathwork sessions soon!
